Valarie Allman is an American track and field athlete who throws the discus. She is the current American Record Holder with a toss of 71.46m (234 feet 5 inches) in 2022. She is the current Olympic Champion (2020 Tokyo) and is the current #1 world-ranked female in the discus.

Valarie is a 2017 graduate of Stanford University, where she was a six-time All-American, and twice won the discus at the Pac-12 championships. She was the silver medalist in the discus at the World Junior Championships in Eugene, Oregon in 2014.

Valarie has won the four consecutive U.S. National Championships in the women’s discus (2018, 2019, 2020 and 2022 and, while competing for the NYAC, she finished seventh at the 2019 Outdoor Track & Field World Championships held in Doha, Qatar, and third at the 2022 World Championships held in Eugene, Oregon (the first medal ever won by an American woman in the event).

Valarie capped off her 2022 season by finishing first in the women’s discus at the Diamond League Championships.

Brooke Andersen is an American track and field athlete competing primarily in the hammer throw. She is the current World Champion in the hammer after winning that crown at the 2022 Outdoor Track & Field World Championships held in Eugene, Oregon. Brooke is presently ranked #1 in the World after tossing the hammer further than any other woman in 2022 (79.02m, April 30, 2022). Her personal best (79.02m) ranks her as the #4 female hammer thrower of all time. Brooke entered the world rankings with a #9 ranking in 2019; she then improved to a #6 ranking in 2021, and then leapt to a #1 ranking in 2022. Brooke led the yearly list in 2022 with her toss of 259 ft 3in (79.02m) but she also had the year’s second-farthest throw and 7 of the 10 throws overall. Brooke now trails only her NYAC teammate, Deanna Price, in her pursuit of the (Deanna’s) American record (263 ft 5 in, 80.31m).

Brooke’s rise to the #1 world ranking is remarkable. On top of exhausting practices – featuring throwing, lifting and recovery – Brooke supported herself by working nights at a Chipotle restaurant in Phoenix. “You just have to manage your time,” she said. “Some of the athletes here aren’t as fortunate to have those big deals, so you have to make things work the way they work.”

Brooke competed collegiately for Northern Arizona University, where she finished second in the hammer at the 2017 and 2018 NCAA Championships.

Erica Bougard is an American track and field athlete competing in the outdoor heptathlon and the indoor pentathlon. In just one year of competing for the NYAC, Erica already owns the NYAC club records in the 100m high hurdles (12.78) and the heptathlon (6663 points).

The women's outdoor heptathlon consists of seven events with the first four contested on the first day and the remaining three on day two: 100m hurdles, high jump, shot put, 200, long jump, javelin throw and 800m. The indoor pentathlon consists of five events held over the course of one day in the following order: 60m hurdles, high jump, shot put, long jump and 800m. In both the heptathlon and pentathlon, Erica is strong in the running and jumping events. As a result of her performances, Erica can rightly claim that she is presently the greatest all-around female athlete in the United States.

Erica is a two-time US outdoor national champion in the heptathlon (2018 – 6,347 points and 2019 – 6,663 points), one time silver medalist (2017 – 6,557 points) and three-time bronze medalist at the outdoor national championships (2013 – 5,990 points; 2014 – 6,118 points, and 2015 – 6,228 points). In 2012, Erica was the 2012 USA Junior Outdoor Heptathlon Champion (5,547 point). Erica is also a two-time USATF Indoor Champion in the Pentathlon (2017 – 4,558 points and 2018 – 4,760 points).

At the 2019 Outdoor Track & Field World Championships held in Doha, Qatar, Erica finished in fourth place. Track & Field News recently (December 2019) ranked Erica as the fourth best Heptathlon athlete in the world.


 

Tori Franklin presently holds the American Indoor Record (48-00 ½ in / 14.64m) in the women’s triple jump. She is currently (2023) ranked #3 (female) in the world in the triple jump.

Tori became the first American woman to medal in the triple jump at a World Championships, when she captured the bronze medal by jumping a season-best 14.72m at the 2022 Outdoor World Track & Field Championships held in Eugene, Oregon.

Tori won the USATF Indoor National Championship in the triple jump in 2017, 2018 and 2020 and was second in the triple jump at the 2017 and 2019 USATF Outdoor National Championships. She has competed three times at the IAAF World Track & Field Championships on behalf of Team USA.

Tori attended Michigan State University where she was a three-time All American.
 

Maggie Malone is an American track and field athlete competing in the javelin throw.

Maggie earned four NCAA Division I U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-American awards. While at Texas A&M, Maggie won the SEC Championships with a mark of 59.50 m (195 ft 2+1⁄2 in), before taking the collegiate title at the 2016 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships with a collegiate record toss of 62.19 m (204 ft 1⁄4 in). A victory at the 2016 United States Olympic Trials soon followed, making her the first athlete in American history to win the collegiate and national javelin titles in the same year. The latter victory gained her a place on the 2016 American Olympic team.

Maggie’s personal record is 67.40 meters (221 feet, 2 inches) for the javelin, set in 2021, then a national record. She is still the American collegiate record holder, the SEC record holder and the Olympic Trials record holder.

Maggie has now competed at two Olympics on behalf of Team USA – Brazil (2016) and Tokyo (2021) – and one World Championships – Eugene, Oregon (2022). Her present goals are: (1) to earn a medal in the next Olympic Games and (2) to throw 70 meters (and regain the American record from the NYAC’s Kara Winger).

Katie Nageotte is an American track and field athlete who competes in the pole vault. At the USA Track & Field Indoor Championships in Albuquerque, N.M., on February 18th, 2018, Katie delivered three consecutive personal bests in the pole vault. The third, at 16 feet, 1-1/4 inches, earned her the national championship title - her first - and placed her among the all-time best in the world for women indoors. Her previous personal best had been 15 feet 7-1/4 inches.

Deanna Marie Price is an American track and field athlete competing primarily in the hammer throw (and weight throw). Deanna is the current American record holder in the hammer throw and the 2019 World Champion in the event.

In 2019, Deanna captured her second consecutive U.S. National Championship when she reset her own American hammer record with a toss of 78.24 meters (256-8) – the longest toss in the world that year. At the 2019 Outdoor Track & Field World Championships held in Doha, Qatar, Deanna won the World Championship in the hammer and became the first American woman to ever medal in the event.

Deanna is a 2015 graduate of Southern Illinois University, where she became the fifth woman in history to win back-to-back NCAA hammer throw titles. Deanna was a member of Team USA at the 2015, 2017, 2019 and 2022 World Championships and at the 2016 (Rio) and 2020 (Tokyo) Olympics.

Janeah Stewart is an American track and field athlete who specializes in the weight throw, shot put and hammer throw.

Janeah won the US national championship in the weight throw in 2019 and 2020.

Janeah is a 2018 graduate of the University of Mississippi where she was a nine-time NCAA All-American in the hammer throw, shot put and weight throw.

Kara Winger is an American track and field athlete competing in the javelin throw. Kara is the current American record holder in the event with her toss of 68.11m in 2022, and she ended the year as the #1 world ranked leader in the women’s javelin. Over the last 12 years of her post-collegiate career, Kara has held the American javelin record for all but 18 months of that period (while she was recovering from a knee surgery).

Kara is a 2009 graduate of Purdue University where she was a two-time NCAA All-American in the javelin and a class of 2018 Hall of Fame inductee.

Kara is a four-time Olympian (2008, 2012, 2016 and 2020) and nine-time National Champion (2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2014, 2015, 2017, 2018 and 2022).

Kara competed for Team USA at the 2022 World Championships held in Eugene, Oregon and finished second in the javelin on her last throw of the competition — the highest result ever by an American woman in meet history. Kara also won the coveted 2022 Diamond League Championship in the javelin.

Kara was elected by her Team USA teammates to carry the American flag at the closing ceremonies of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics (very popular American athlete).
